This project highlights Oconee Construction Services’ expertise in pre-engineered metal buildings, delivering a state-of-the-art auxiliary gym to support Bethlehem Christian Academy’s rapid athletic and enrollment growth.

Bethlehem Christian Academy Gym

  • Construction Type: The facility utilizes pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) construction, a highly efficient and durable structural method commonly utilized by Oconee Construction for large-scale athletic and commercial facilities. It features expansive clear-span steel framing to ensure a wide, column-free interior ideal for sports, paired with a specialized high-grade athletic flooring system and modern climate control.
  • Timeline: The project was developed as part of Bethlehem Christian Academy’s multi-phase campus expansion, driven heavily by their "Be Part of the Story" capital campaign, establishing the necessary square footage to accommodate the school's rapid enrollment boom.
  • Purpose & Summary: The facility was built as a multi-purpose auxiliary gymnasium to relieve pressure on the school’s main athletic facilities. It was specifically designed to support BCA’s expanding athletic programs, providing essential court space for basketball and volleyball practices, Physical Education (PE) classes, summer camps, and youth programs, while allowing the academy to host concurrent sporting events on their 73-acre Bethlehem, Georgia campus.
